Northridge Landscape Architecture

A three-page website for an international landscape architecture firm, with a cinematic video hero, and a Google Maps contact experience. Designed and built in seven days.

Overview

Northridge Landscape Architecture is a firm that designs parks, plazas, residential communities and private gardens. The international client came to us with a design mockup, project photography and technical drawings, and needed a website that felt as considered as their landscapes. We built a three-page site (Home, About and Contact) with a full-screen aerial video hero, a portfolio of featured projects, and a "From Sketch to Site" section showing the drawings behind each project. The Contact page has a project inquiry form and a Google Maps panel with the firm's reviews. Every page is fully responsive, from large desktop screens down to small phones.

Challenges

The firm's work is visual, but their online presence didn't reflect the quality of their projects. They needed a site that would impress municipalities, developers and homeowners within seconds of landing on it. The brief also called for a background video that plays automatically on every browser, including Safari on iPhone, which often blocks autoplay and shows an unwanted play button. All of this had to be delivered in three days, front-end only, with no backend.

Solutions

We built the brand around a deep forest-green palette and a classic serif typeface to match the firm's natural, refined identity. The home hero uses an aerial video that loops silently in the background. We compressed it to load fast and served a lighter version to phones. The video stays hidden behind a still image until it's actually playing, so visitors never see a play button on any browser. Scroll-triggered animations bring sections, stats and project cards to life as visitors move down the page. On mobile, the projects become a swipeable carousel, the menu opens full-screen and buttons expand for easy tapping. The Contact page combines a validated inquiry form with a Google Maps panel showing the studio's location, live open/closed hours and a "100+ Google reviews" badge.

The firm now has a fast, polished website that showcases their projects the way they deserve to be seen. The video hero makes a strong first impression and plays smoothly across Chrome and Safari. The site works seamlessly on every screen size, and the Contact page gives potential clients several easy ways to get in touch: the form, a phone call, directions or reviews.

"We gave OptimaWebAI a mockup and some photos, and three days later we had a website that truly represents our work. The video on the homepage is stunning, and the site looks just as good on a phone. Fast, professional and easy to work with."
